Experience Mode’s signature class format combining treadmill intervals with strength training. Each class has been meticulously programmed to deliver tangible fitness progression in all areas, with capped class numbers and hands on coaching leading you every step of the way.

50min Class
Half treadmill, half weight training
Hands on coaching leading the way
Mode Studio’s signature class format combines treadmill-based cardio with varied strength/resistance work, creating the ultimate 50 minutes of structured training.
You’ll work through a series of cardio sets on the ‘tread that will build endurance, speed and overall cardio fitness. Treadmill work is interspersed throughout your strength training, which utilises a mix of weighted and functional exercises, performed on or around your personal bench and set of weights.
These classes are capped at 20 people maximum.

Foundation Mode classes are a less-complex version of Signature Mode, with slower transitions, a focus on foundational movements and more hands on coaching time.
Like our Signature classes, these sessions combine treadmill-based cardio with resistance work and offer an engaging, effective workout for all fitness levels.
This is the perfect class to start with at Mode if you're a little unsure about where to begin.
These classes are capped at 20 people maximum.

Our innovative Interval Mode classes utilise state of the art treadmills in a punchy 30min session that pushes you to get your heart rate spiking. These classes are similar to a spin/cycle class with a treadmill instead of a bike, giving you full control over your speed and incline settings throughout the duration of your workout.
You’ll be guided through a warm up, a work period that will typically include a mix of sprints, tempo runs, sleds, incline intervals and parachute training, with breaks interspersed throughout to keep you on track. This class is suitable for all levels.
Classes capped at 10 runners maximum.

Part of a well-structured fitness plan includes recovery for your hard working muscles and joints. Mode’s Recovery class is designed with longevity and performance in mind; the perfect class to top off a week of working hard on your strength and cardio fitness.
Enjoy 40 minutes of low intensity stretching, foam rolling and mobility work under the guidance of a movement specialist.

Our group fitness classes are dynamic, high energy classes with supportive instructors guiding you through and keeping you motivated. Expect to feel challenged, but with full freedom to go at your own pace.
In our Signature & Foundation classes, you’ll spend approximately half of your session on the treadmill and the other half working through strength and resistance training. Our 30min Interval classes are treadmill only.
Wear comfortable gym gear, bring a sweat towel & water bottle, and let us take care of the rest.

Mode’s class schedule is designed as resistance ‘splits’ across the week, meaning each class focusses on a different muscle group. This is so you can achieve real strength progression over time, and feel confident that the pace and rest allowance between workouts promotes a safe and effective fitness practise long-term.

Foundation Mode/Full BodyWe recommend booking 3-4 workouts per week and hitting a different muscle group each time. For example, you could select one each of a lower body, back & core and arms & shoulders sessions. Or, add an extra lower body or full body session to go the extra mile.

Yes - every workout at Mode is suitable for complete beginners right through to the seasoned professional.
Our Foundation classes are designed with a slightly more gentle format to the Signature classes, with a focus on basic strength movements to build your confidence in the studio. These might be used to create a foundational fitness level before you progress to the Signature format, or could be more to your liking long-term.
In all classes you are in complete control of your cardio and resistance intensity, with coaches on hand to assist you as you go. We encourage everyone to give all options a go!

Signature & Foundation classes are capped at 20 people maximum, with your time split between a treadmill and weight bench, each with its own set of varying weights at the ready for you.
We cap our Interval Mode classes to 10 people maximum, and you’ll use your own treadmill from start to finish.

Yes, our private bathroom and shower facilities are complete with premium NZ-made hair and body products, hair dryers, straightening irons and complimentary private lockers.
We also have a seperate area to store your things securely, with lockers right outside the group training studio doors.
